Misty forest dance

I went for a hike in Cliff Gilker forest on Friday after seeing the fog and mist on the ocean. It had been a month since going for a long hike since travelling to Hawaii. It was time to exercise my legs and see what my camera would discover. I didn’t go until afternoon and much of the fog had lifted so I wasn’t expecting anything different in particular that I had not photographed already until I came across a scene where the December sun was low, peaking through the trees and steam was rising from an area in the foreground. As I watched this scene unfold I brought my camera to eye level and focused watching the mist creating different patterns. I snapped away oblivious to what kind of patterns were being created, yet I kew there was something magical about the scene. Upon uploading the photos to my computer I noticed this one scene where it almost appeared as if a genie had popped out of bottle. Look closely and see what you see.

Feel the presence

Wait silently with anything, and you will discover a new phenomenon which was always there, but of which you were not alert – not aware of it. Your mind will become completely silent as you feel the presence of the ever-living existence. You will be just a part in it, just a note in the great symphony. No burden, no tension...the drop has fallen into the ocean. ~ Osho
